According to the business, Tesla’s first electric pickup has gone off the assembly line.

Tesla says its most memorable creation, the Cybertruck electric pickup, has moved off the mechanical production system, almost two years behind schedule.

The organization tweeted a photograph on Saturday showing scores of laborers in protective caps and yellow vests encompassing the truck.

The truck was shown off by Musk at the end of 2019, and Tesla had said that production would start at the end of 2021. However, the company has since said that production will start slowly and in fewer units than with its other vehicles.

“It takes time to set up the manufacturing line, and this is a truly revolutionary product. It is not constructed in the same manner as other automobiles. So, we’ll see.”

With its wedge shape and hardened steel body—wwhich Tesla calls the exoskeleton—tthe Cybertruck seems to be a conventional pickup. A few investigators have panned it as a specialty item that will not have wide appeal.

Musk said in April that the organization expected to convey the initial truck most likely in the July-through-September quarter. He expressed that, likewise with other new items, creation would begin gradually and then accelerate.

He stated, “The manufacturing line takes time to get going, and this is really a very radical product.” It is not produced in the same manner as other automobiles. Let’s see,”

Musk hurled an expletive during the truck’s 2019 unveiling when a window that had been touted as unbreakable was spider-cracked when struck by a large metal ball.

Tesla initially said it would make three variants of the truck, going from about $40,000 to $70,000. Later, the organization eliminated costs from the page where clients could choose whether to plunk down $100 and submit a request.

Contenders have hurried into the electric truck market, including the Passage F-150 Lightning and Rivian Auto’s R1T. Both seem to be regular pickups.

Tesla is scheduled to report second-quarter monetary outcomes on July 19.
